Three Kings

Finally all three strikers scored (in the same match!). What a huge sigh of relief for the Devils and their worshippers. It's a good vibe. This should be the case all the time. Stay united.
The expression by each striker after scoring tells it all;
Rooney was waiting for his 100th goal: the hunger for more goals were apparent alright. That's good to know.

Berbatov had similar expressions but you could tell he really wanted to show to the fans and the Gaffer that he can make a difference to the team: You could tell during the match he had his own set of ideas when United were on the break. But he no longer plays the role he used to back at Tottenham - can't blame him. He knows his strengths.

Owen looked really happy after his goal. It was a big one. First Premier League goal as a Devil and it was executed brilliantly: I really liked the connection between Owen and Nani for that goal. The connection was spot on and the way Nani set Owen up? Marvellous. It also proves Owen still has a knack for creating space away from the marker and strike. Another point Owen proved tonight is that he can still deliver the blow. Cool finish. Nice...

Like what the papers say;"The season isn't a sprint, it's a marathon". One game at a time but keep an eye for the finish line.

Although, their next trip will bring the best in both teams. One is at the summit of English football, the other; old rivals but with a fresh set of army. And they are hungry. They have been working really hard to get the connection between them over the past couple of seasons and this season may well prove their efforts. The Gunners have alreasy scored 10 in two, three matches? Are they are next in line to shake off that title.

This will be an exciting match of drama and competition.

shoulder blades just shifted

Recently I have been going through a series of events with mounting workload. Obviously I'm not the only one going through this. Yes, I know but what goes up must come down and this matter aint no different.

After plunging in oneself into the pile of assignments and deadline, and actually making it out in one piece, you feel a whole lot lighter. You feel alive. That's the best feeling. That's the beauty of finishing what you've started. But, it is also the benchmark of 'how do you take hold of this matter in the future'.

It's somewhat relates to the Barclay's Premier League. Let's talk about the one at the top. When you're on top, every other team wants to bring you down. Some will succeed, others will just have to try harder. Yes, those teams are persistent enough that it annoys you but those are the exact same feeling these lower teams are going through. "Why are they so persistent in being the top-dog?"

It all comes down to hunger and passion for the ultimate prize; to feel alive. So as soon as something is done, the next hunt should already be underway. Sounds tough and tiring but the future holds the benefits. If you don't do it now, when else will you do it?

Saying it is way easier than actually doing it. That's exactly what champions are made of.

senses fail

I was just thinking about what Suraya and I saw on the tele the other day. It was one of David Blaine's show. There was a scene where he performed a feat of staying underwater (god knows for how long) in a cannister that looks like a gigantic bubble. And it was on display so everyone had access to see him (it wouldn't have been a stunt if nobody was there to witness it).

Well it was impressive enough for him to stay submerged underwater for so long that his skin; especially his arms and feet were begining to look as if it was melting. Imagine a monster that lives under water. Now picture it's skin. That's what happened to him. But what frightened me the most was that he wasn't able to communicate with the outside world.

When you're underwater, your sense of hearing goes down the drain. Moreover when you're in an aquarium and you can see people around you but you can't here people talking, you can't hear their actions, no voices, no noise, no sound!

Shite, it's incredible that when you lose one part of your 5 senses, you become so vulnearble that you can lose 'it' at anytime.

between angels and insects

A roach just entered my room as a result of my plan backfiring. I noticed this roach under the stairs (which is also a store room) of my house. Just staying put. I was playing with my cat, Miki when i decided to test his hunting abilities.

You see, my mom was fed up with all of our cats pissin around that she warned us never to let any of the cats enter the house. That was three months ago already. By now Miki's hunting skills should have shot through the roof (Miki is in his teenage-hyperactive age).

Standing in the dark corner..lonely roach, and look who just entered the ring! Miki MkII.

Miki was fast, he was furious, he was fast and furious. Magnificent. A cat's agility is something truly amazing to watch. But a prey's will to survive must not be neglected. Mr lonely roach proved to me that when you're in the face of danger, which concerns life and death, if you will to live is strong, you can pull through.

The first thing roachie did was to use its advantage of its size. Roachie went beneath the store room's door. This way, without proper techniques to fish out the prey, Miki wasn't a threat at all. Soon after failing time and time again, the hunter will get bored of the situation and just leave. Me lonely roach was a smart fella. The roach didn't even budged a muscle under that store room door. No matter how close Miki's claws were to roach's legs, the prey ramained motionless. Now I see the beauty of National Geographic documentaries.

I admit I was getting restless myself. After all I am Miki's coach in this little test. I moved the store room door to expose Mr roach! There it goes! Mr roach was running for it's life! This was the second time I was amazed of the will to survive.

Mr Roach ran close to the wall, as if searching for a place to sneak under and found the door to my room. I opened the door to make way for Miki. We lost that damn roach!

I was disappointed. So much hope for the first few minutes, then Miki crumbled to it's opponent. It was like watching the devils succumbing to defeat at the hands of the reds. I was hurt. So deep, like a cut.

I ushered Miki out of the house for him to rest and think about the mistakes made and how to overcome and turn it to strengths. I on the other hand am stuck in my room with Mr roach (now he is officially not lonely-I'm here to keep it company) waiting for it to show up.

When you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself.

Then I thougth to myself; "what if Mr roach has it's payback while I lay on the bed, completely defenseless once I sleep?"...Shit pushed in big time, ese~ no doubt!

But at the far end of my brain, I hear a voice; "let's think optimistically, ya?" If it were intended to be, I'd long been attacked in my sleep by any insect or bug small enough to pass under my room door.

By the hand of the almighty, we flower in this generation, triumphantly...

Why do we become rebellious?

Why must we go against the things that are considered right? We know we're in deep trouble when a great sin is not looked upon/ judged as one; because everyone else is committing it.

Doesn't that in any way make us realize that we're not heading the direction we're supposed to?

But yet, why do we pray to God when something's amiss? Why do we still have that hope God will be there when we truly need help, when everyone else has turned their backs towards us?

Doesn't it run through your mind that God is fed up with us asking for help only when we desperately need divine intervention?

Super Sunday

No, not a sports programme or any other show for that matter. Super Sunday is (or was) today. I woke up early with a purpose! I felt very productive as I haven't done anything like this since I don't know when.

I was inspired to do what I did today Saturday morning, after a game of frisbee in the rain (another thing I haven't done in years - playing in the rain). My friend told me he was going to cater some food at a stadium where he was going to play basketball. I immediately had the idea of buying my family breakfast while helping my frien's business out. Killing two birds with one stone does feel good but only if the task was right and this one was no exception.

So, i managedto get everything done for Sunday breakfast. It made me feel good too. This way I felt like I contributed something for the family. Even though it's something small but the accomplishment felt so much more than that.

The main reason for setting up breakfast? Father's Day of course. But I shall repeat this in the future for sure. Since brought to life into this world, food has been ready on the table every morning, it's time I give something back to the man who has taught me the ways of life; sometimes indirectly, sometimes head on. Well whatever the excuse, Happy Father's Day!

dreams

What are dreams? People often ask this question. It's cliché but once you really sit down and think about it, well, for me...once I sit down and think about it, I can never find the answer...

Why do we have dreams? Why do we sometimes have these images which play through like a film reel? There's never a concrete answer to why we have these blips whenever we sleep.

The other day I had a dream. Someone familiar. They did not share the same face. None of their appearance too. But I knew who that person was. I knew so well. I felt upset. Sad. To think that I would be bothered in my sleep was even more annoying.

I would never want to dream of something like that again. I have forgotten abou it yet, at the back of my mind I know these things slowly resurface. It's slowly growing into my dreams. Making its presence felt. Wanting me to acknowledge its existence.

Eventually I talked about it to a friend. I never intended to let it out but I don't know why I did. It was something that happened without me realizing it. It didn’t cross my mind to think before speaking. The topic just came out and I just went on and on. Once I started the ball rolling, there was no way to stop it till it was finished.

My initial dream suddenly shifted to another scene. This time the (second) dream was more of current affairs. It was something I anticipated. The funny thing is that the events that take place in dreams are always wierd. And everything always feels real, no matter how awkward or how terrifying.
